“After being on a 588-day hiatus, the flying magic carpet just made its returning debut [March 16, 2013] during the 2:20pm performance of Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular in Disney California.”
For those who were unaware of it’s reason of hiatus, on September 25, 2011 the magic carpet holding the two stunt actors for Aladdin and Jasmine, malfunctioned and flipped over. The whole theater was evacuated as the upside down carpet swung overhead.
As a big fan of the production I am super happy and excited that they continued the magic carpet. Now I have more to look forward to other than Genie’s hilarious jokes. Thank you, Disney, for keeping the magic alive. :)
